1. Brands and Boulders
The OutDoor is not only the internationally leading trade fair of the outdoor industry, it is also where the German bouldering championships take place. An exciting event for participants and onlookers alike. The athletes, muscular and lean, offer even those unfamiliar with bouldering a gripping insight into what this competitive sport is all about. Thumbs up!
2. Outdoor-Fashion Trends
You didn't have to be a fashionista to count the fashion shows as one of the trade fair must-sees. Performance wear with young dancers and interactive videoscreens were definitely more exciting than the demonstrated styles themselves. Cool inspiration for the creative mind presented in the well air-conditioned room.
3. Emotional Adventure Marketing
torytelling, social media campaigns and interactive tools is what is hot in marketing. The shared goal: making brand adventures perceptible. A prime example was Mammut's booth, where visitors could test out what it feels like to be at the very top of the Matterhorn - with a 360°, that is. How is it possible? With Virtual Reality glasses, which are not even going to be on the market until early 2016.
4. Back to the Roots
It felt like there was something else developing aside from all the performance and innovation: The desire for strength and peace, way beyond the constant connection on all of our devices. Whether it be Yoga or carefully crafted quality, the craving for being grounded changes the consumer behaviour. Order volume climbed up high for Kodiak client VEITH Bergstrumpf (mountain socks). After all, being mindful of your own roots starts underneath your feet.
5. Closer to the stars
After two days of heat at the trade show we were excited for the legendary final party at the courtyards. Subtropical temperatures, electronic beats and live rock really got things going. The refreshing mini pools and, of course, the bar were perfect for those too tired to move after a long day. Cheers to another great show!
